Alessia Locatelli vive e lavora a Milano. E’ direttrice artistica dell’Archivio Enrico Cattaneo e della Biennale della Fotografia Femminile - BFF di Mantova. Ha coadiuvato la progettazione di alcune delle passate edizioni del SiFest e del Premio Canon. E’ curatrice indipendente nell’organizzazione di mostre con realtà sia pubbliche che private, in Italia e all’estero, mentre in parallelo continua l’attività di organizzazione e consulenza per artisti e fotografi. E’ firma di alcune riviste di settore e referente critico del Dossier Fotografia all’interno del “CAM, catalogo di arte moderna” (ex-Bolaffi) pubblicato dalla Editoriale Giorgio Mondadori - Gruppo Cairo.
Dal 2016 crea ed insegna in scuole di fotografia e realtà indipendenti in tutta Italia e collabora come docente con università nel territorio. Partecipa come folio-reviewer e curator in vari Foto Festival tra Italia ed estero. Si occupa inoltre di aiutare e coadiuvare gli autori nella scelta delle carte Fine Art e nei materiali di montaggio utili alla conservazione e alla vendita ai collezionisti.

Alessia Locatelli lives and work in Milan / Italy She is the artistic director of the Enrico Cattaneo’s archive and of Women Photography Biennial (BFF) in Mantua (Italy). She managed some of the past editions of the SiFest and the Canon Award, specializing in photography and becoming Independent Curator in the organization of exhibitions with both public and private entities, in Italy and abroad; while in parallel the activity of curating and consulting continues for artists and photographers. She’s the signature of some art & photo magazines and critic of the Photography Dossier within the "CAM, catalog of modern art" (ex-Bolaffi) published by the Editorial Giorgio Mondadori - Cairo Group.
From 2016 she organizes and teaches in professional courses to become Photo-curator in photography schools and independent realities throughout Italy. She’s also a teacher in Photography field. She participates as Curator & Folio-Reviewer in various Photo Festivals between Italy and Switzerland and she’s in the organizational team of Photolux Festival in Lucca, 2019 edition. She’s in charge of helping and assisting authors in the selection of Fine Art papers and for materials useful for conservation and sale to collectors.
