Palermo, 1984. The second mafia war ended with the confermation of the Corleonese, in July Giovanni Falcone flys to Brazil in order to get Buscetta to talk, paving the way for the maxi-trial and the season remembered as the Palermo spring; Fabio Sgroi is nineteen and begins to photograph his friends and the punk scene of the city. The following year, thanks to the photo camera, he finds a job at the newspaper L’Ora and, in additionts to the portraits of his friends, he adds to his portfolio news: crime and costume news. Private moments alternate and mingle with the flow of life and death that is the scene of the street-stages of Palermo. There is a nervous tension that runs through Sgroi's photographs, the ferment for something that must and is about to happen, a crack that opens, perhaps causing the floor to collapse, perhaps tearing a sky that is now too heavy.
